Folk Museum - Exhibits
Our exhibits cover almost every area of folk life in the Nambucca Valley.
In addition we sell copies of old newspapers and present day craft items, hand made by museum volunteers, like crochet jug covers and doyleys, washers, teatowels and towels.

Our most famous newspaper 'clipping' is the Friday August 19, 1768 copy of the "London Gazette" with an article about a Secret Voyage by Capt. James Cook. A great read & copies are available for $5.50.

- Saddlery & a side-saddle 'horse'
- Forge for wheelwrights and blacksmiths with all the gear
- The 1885 Presbyterian Church is in our grounds
- Military museum and memorabilia: Army, Navy & Air Force.
- A 1926-28 Dodge Tourer
- A grain hammer mill
- Replica 1870 Penny farthing bicycle
- Wool wagons, lots of other wagons and horse drawn items
- Lapidary: The Eve Knight collection of rocks, crystals & glowing rocks
- Remnants from crops of bananas and corn and from the dairy industry
- A children's museum and old disability wheelchairs
- Stoves from old hotels (how did they cook on them?)
- Lots of info about the locally made movie "The Umbrella Woman" made in Bowraville & area in 1985.
